The Children’s Museum of Tacoma will join with SPECIAL Families of Pierce County to host monthly evening programs for families of children with special needs.

Parents can network with other parents and hear a guest speaker. Children will have the chance to have a sensory-friendly play experience in the museum. Trained volunteers and museum personnel will be there to support children as they explore the galleries.

Programs are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 13.

The program is free, but donations are accepted. Space is limited, and families are asked to register in advance. To learn more about registration, e-mail specialfamiliestacoma@gmail.com or go to www.exceptional-families.org.
