An administrator from the Puyallup School District could become the next assistant superintendent for human resources in Tacoma.

Superintendent Carla Santorno will recommend that the Tacoma School Board hire Lynne Rosellini for the post at the board’s Aug. 23 meeting.

Rosellini would replace Laurie Taylor, who is retiring. Rosellini, chief academic officer for Puyallup since 2008, is a graduate of Tacoma’s Lincoln High School and a Tacoma resident. She previously worked in Tacoma as a teacher and administrator.

Wasn’t she part of the fiasco involving the Rogers HS principal issue?

  2. Why can’t Tacoma hire someone with actual HR experience. People actually get degrees in HR and work for years developing skills in this area. Hasn’t TPS learned that hiring people for this position without experience in HR is a disaster? Look to the private sector for someone who actually knows what they are doing. The position certainly pays enough.
