Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland’s Education Task Force and KBTC Public Television will host a community conversation about the “Myths and Realities of Public Education” from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the University of Washington Tacoma, Carwein Auditorium.
Panelists include:
• Carla Santorno, acting superintendent of Tacoma Public Schools
• Nathan Bowling, teacher, Lincoln Center at Lincoln High School
• Ulises Torres, Lincoln High School student
• Debra Friedman, UWT Chancellor,
• Ken Miller, parent of two Stadium High School graduates
The panel discussion will be moderated by News Tribune Publisher David Zeeck.
