Jeff Lucas has been appointed to fill an at-large position on the Eatonville School Board. His appointment lasts until the November election, when he plans to run for the seat.
Lucas, who lives near Northwest Trek, was one of six candidates who applied for the board vacancy. He is married and has two children, a daughter in kindergarten and a son who is not yet in school. He is a fire fighter and paramedic with East Pierce Fire and Rescue.
He said having his oldest child start school has been “a tremendously eye-opening experience all the way around.” He said he believes the school district is doing a good job, and he wants an opportunity to play a part in guiding the district.
