Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium officials will host a public meeting on Wednesday, March 7, to hear people’s thoughts about a proposed new Pacific Rim aquarium and exhibit complex and a new South America exhibit.

The proposed exhibits are key parts of the zoo’s long-term strategic plan to address aging and deteriorating facilities.

The March 7 public meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Metro Parks Tacoma Headquarters, 4702 South 19th St. in Tacoma.
