The Lakewood branch of the Boys and Girls Club will be the beneficiary of an informal car show and fundraiser Wednesday.

Car enthusiasts can show off their cars for a $10 registration fee, with all the money going to benefit the club. It will use a portion of the proceeds so 60 club kids can attend a private screening of Disney/Pixar film, “Cars 2.”

The cruise-in is the brainchild of Ken Bollman, sales manager at European Motors. He is a lifelong car enthusiast who wanted to give back to his community.

The cruise-in will be held at Lakewood Towne Center, 5811 Main St. SW. It runs from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
