Pierce Transit board members, wrestling with decisions on service levels and possibly asking voters for a tax hike, will meet in a special work session at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be conducted in the agency’s Training Center, 3720 96th St, S.W., Lakewood.
The board is scheduled to make a decision Monday on a plan for service going into next year. One scenario shows drastic cuts in service, another anticipates more routes if voters approve a .3 percent increase in sales tax.
You can learn more about those proposals here.
Board members will discuss those options, get information from transit agency and perhaps talk about other potential plans during the study session, chairman Terry Lee said today.
