Twilight fans are showing up in full force at tonight’s “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” premiere at Regal Lakewood Cinema 15.

According to The Associated Press “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was booked in a record 4,416 theaters for its debut Wednesday. This beats the previous record of 4,380 theaters set by “Iron Man 2.”

Theater employee Johnathan Hart said lines have been forming since 5:30 p.m. As expected, fans of Stephenie Meyer’s books have dressed the part!

Teenager girls decked in “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” garb scatter the walls both in hallways and outside of the theater. But girls are not the only ones who have come to enjoy the spectacle.

Nick Riconosciuto said he is trying to be as romantic as Edward Cullen, and came with his wife, Shelly, to the theater.

A group of friends also made the trip from Dupont, Wash. to see the midnight show.

Each of them is sporting a white V-neck shirt with an image of their favorite character.

So why did they decide to attend?

“Two words,” said fan Edwin Milanio. “Ashley Greene.”

Greene plays the spunky vampire Alice Cullen, sister to leading man, Edward.

Last November’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” lead the box-office charts for best opening day with $72.7 million, according to The Associated Press.

The third installment is likely to surpass this record in the next few days!

Check back for another movie premiere update soon!
