Proposed tower project for Federal Way

A proposal to build three skyscrapers in Federal Way will be subject of an open house Tuesday.

Representatives of Twin Development and the City of Federal Way will discuss the proposal from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 33325 Eighth Ave. S.

Twin Development is proposing to build three towers with a 1-acre park. Two towers would be 45 stories tall; the third would be 35 stories. The new project at 31600 20th Ave. S. is estimated to cost more than $300 million – with 150 hotel rooms and 550 condos as well as office and retail space.

At its 7 p.m. meeting Tuesday, the City Council is expected to decide whether to assign the purchase-and-sale agreement for the former AMC Theatres site to Twin Development.

Architectural renderings will displayed at the open house Tuesday. To read more about the proposal, press here.
