Sounders Women, May 4 Match SOLD OUT

Added Seats Going on Sale April 26 @ 3pm

SoundersWomen.com – The Sounders Women have sold out the May 4 match against the University of Washington. The original stadium capacity for the Starfire Stadium of 4,500 has been sold out for more than three weeks prior to kickoff.

In order to accommodate the increasing request for additional tickets, the Sounders Women will be adding a limited number of Bleacher Seating Tickets for the May 4, 7:30pm match. The additional number of tickets will go on sale at 3pm on Thursday, April 26th on SoundersWomen.com.

Sounders Women donate tickets to Somalia club

Tukwila, WA – As part of the Seattle Sounders Women’s community outreach efforts in the greater Renton area, the team has recently donated 100 tickets to the Somalia Youth and Family Club for the team’s upcoming June 12th match against the Los Angeles Strikers. The SYFC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing various services to Somali and other under served families. The Sounders Women and Starfire Sports have partnered with the SYFC to assist with its youth soccer program that extends to all refugee students within King County. Sounders Women home opener 2 p.m. Sunday

The Sounders Women play their first home match of the regular season this May 29 at 2pm at Starfire. The Sounders side which consists of former US National Team players, players with WPS experience, and future stars still competing at the college level will take on the Colorado Rush. The Sounders Women regular season will pit them against the Western Conference, made up of 2 Colorado sides, 3 California teams, and Northwest rivals from Vancouver and Victoria BC.

Vancouver, BC – Against a team of US and Canadian internationals, a crowd of over 1,500 Whitecaps Fans, and a travel/play in the same day scenario, the Sounders Women performed remarkably, but fell short by a score of 1-0.

Seattle Sounders Women 1 – 1 University of Washington Huskies

Starfire Sports – Tukwila WA – In the final exhibition match for the Sounders Women, the University of Washington and the Sounders shared a 1-1 scoreline. The match pitted former Huskies against the team they helped lead to the Elite 8 in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Jane Mitchell and McKenna Waitley suited up for the Sounders Women in order to compete against the familiar purple and gold that they dawned for the last 4 years.
