Sounders Women Awarded W-League Organization of the Year

Tukwila, WA – After being nominated for four end-of-the-year awards by the United Soccer Leagues, the Seattle Sounders Women was named W-League Organization of the year, while also earning W-League Marketing Team of the Year award on December 14th. The honors were handed out at the USL Annual General Meetings in Tampa, Florida.  The Sounders Women stood out amongst over 30 W-League franchises throughout the United States.

Sounders Women Reach Semifinals

Starfire plays host to the W-League Championship, with the Sounders women facing the Ottawa Fury on Friday.

Earlier this month the US Women’s National Team captivated the country with their run in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.  They exuded perseverance to reach the championship match even while battling back from deficits throughout the tournament and coming up big in a shootout win over Brazil in the quarterfinals.

Sounders Women to face UW Women’s Soccer in Spring Battle – The Seattle Sounders Women will play their final preseason exhibition against the University of Washington women’s soccer on Thursday, May 6 at 7 p.m., a match that will air on Comcast On Demand.

The match will take place at Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila with game time shifted to 7 p.m., one hour earlier than previously scheduled.
