The Portland Timbers U23s came into the PDL the year after the Tide won the 2008 Northwest Division crown. Since that 2009 season the clubs have met five times and Tacoma has yet to taste a victory. Tacoma club also announces drive to recruit sponsors, pre-season match schedule

Tacoma WA — Tacoma Tide FC have selected adidas as their uniform maker for the 2011 USL Premier Development League season. Tacoma will wear the adidas Tiro II in their traditional home “Yellow,” with an alternate / away “Royal” (blue).

TacomaFC.com – A defensive miscue just before the half and a late second-half header from the doorstep that found the back of the Tacoma net were the nails that closed the coffin on the Tide FC Wednesday, blowing an early 1:0 lead, to lose to the visiting Portland Timbers U23 2:1.
