Sounders U-23 Alumni Success

TACOMA, Wash. – Sounders FC U-23 plays a pivotal role in the development of its players. Currently, 14 players have gone on from the Sounders U-23s to play professionally. Sounders U-23 players span six different leagues and four countries across three different continents. SoundersU23.com now includes an alumni page to help fans track where their favorite former Sounders U-23 players have gone onto play professionally.

Sounders U-23 Welcome Back Academy Alumni

Sounders U-23 Sign East Coast Stars

TACOMA, Wash. – The Sounders U-23 have signed two defenders from North Carolina-based Universities for the 2014 Premier Development League season. Clement Simonin, 22, is a French center back who anchored North Carolina State through the grueling Atlantic Coast Conference. Austin Dunker, 21, is an outside back from one of the stingiest defenses in college soccer, Elon University.

Former Sounders U-23 Star Called Up to Team USA

TACOMA, Wash. – 2012 Sounders FC U-23 star, DeAndre Yedlin, followed an All-Star rookie season in MLS with a call up today to the United States National Team. Yedlin will participate in the team’s January camp from January 6 to February 1.

Sounders Women Sign 4 More

SoundersWomen.com - The Sounders Women have officially signed four more players for the 2012 W-League campaign. The Sounders add three college graduates and a local high school standout, who is headed to the University of Washington in the fall. The signees are Sophie Reiser (Columbia U.), Victoria Frederick (Alabama), Kara Kuttler (Seattle U.), and Isabel Farrell (to U.W.).
