Sounders-U23 sign five from UW

SoundersU23.com – The Sounders FC U-23 have announced the signing of five players who currently play for the University of Washington.  Defenders, Taylor Peay, Mike Uyehara, and Chris Brundage will offer defensive options for the Sounders U-23. Ryan Herman, a transfer from Santa Clara will work for time behind them in net. The fifth signing, Bradley McIntosh, is a recent transfer from UCLA. McIntosh was a midfield stand out growing up in Redmond, Washington.

Sounders Women single match tickets go on sale

SoundersWomen.com – The Sounders Women have announced that individual match tickets are now on sale at SoundersWomen.com.

The Sounders Women will host 10 matches for the 2012 season.  All home matches will be played at Starfire Sports Stadium. Sounders Women will kick off their season with 3 exhibition matches. The first, against Seattle Pacific University, is on April 9th. The Sounders Women will play Seattle University and the University of Washington before heading into the W-League home opener on May 31st vs. Colorado Rush.

Sounders U-23 Tryouts – This Weekend

Sounders U-23 tryouts are open to all ages

SoundersU23.com – The Seattle Sounders U-23 has announced their tryouts will be held on March 10 and 11 at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. Registration to be seen by the Sounders and be a part of the Sounders future is now available on the team’s website -  SoundersU23.com.

The tryouts will be monitored by Sounders U-23 head coach Darren Sawatzky and his staff.  All participants must on SoundersU23.com before the tryout.  There is a $45 fee to participate. While the league is a U-23, each team is allowed up

Sounders Women donate tickets to Somalia club

Tukwila, WA – As part of the Seattle Sounders Women’s community outreach efforts in the greater Renton area, the team has recently donated 100 tickets to the Somalia Youth and Family Club for the team’s upcoming June 12th match against the Los Angeles Strikers. The SYFC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing various services to Somali and other under served families. The Sounders Women and Starfire Sports have partnered with the SYFC to assist with its youth soccer program that extends to all refugee students within King County. Sounders Women lose high-scoring match

SoundersWomen.com - The Sounders must feel like they got punched in the stomach Sunday afternoon after the collection of events that ended with a 3-2 loss at home. The Sounders had not one, but two penalty kicks awarded against them. The home side also had their head coach and assistant coach ejected from the stadium by the game’s official, Erik Martes. Tide Face Toughest Week in Club History

We will know a lot more about the 2011 Tide around this time next week. Since opening the season on May 13 at Stadium Bowl with a 2:2 draw against North Sound the South Sound Yellows have been practicing, trying to make the most of a ten day break between matches. Tide and Sounders Women Shine Bright at Local School

Brayton Knapp and Kelsey Jenkins make appearance at Soos Creek Elementary

SoundersWomen.com – Sounders women midfielder, Kelsey Jenkins (Kent, WA) was welcomed back to her childhood stomping grounds with rowdy cheering from the students and overwhelming pride from the faculty Wednesday, June 9. Jenkins and Tacoma Tide defender Brayton Knapp (Sultan,WA) met with students at Soos Creek Elementary to talk about their favorite players and most beloved soccer memories. Students were eager to retell their experiences with soccer and used their time with the players as a sort of show-and-tell parade.

The children fired questions at the visiting players determinedly.
