Sounders U23 vs Kitsap Pumas (PREVIEW)

(photo by Chris Coulter, – First place will be on the line Friday night when the Sounders U-23 take on the Kitsap Pumas at Cheney Stadium at 7:30 p.m. The Sounders U-23 are currently atop the PDL Northwest Division standings with 18 points in nine games played. The Pumas find themselves in a three-way-tie for second place with 16 points, but have played one less game.

Sounders U23 @ Kitsap Pumas    at Bremerton HS – 7pm kickoff – On Saturday, May 19 the Sounders U-23 will complete a massive soccer day with the Narrows Bridge Rivalry against the Kitsap Pumas. The day includes the UEFA Champions League Final at noon, the Sounders FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps at 2pm, and then the Sounders FC U-23 and Pumas match up at 7pm.

The Sounders FC U-23 enter the weekend with four points after a win and tie last weekend in Canada. The Sounders U-23 beat the Vancouver Whitecaps U-23 with goals from Darwin Jones and Fernando

Tide Face Toughest Week in Club History

We will know a lot more about the 2011 Tide around this time next week. Since opening the season on May 13 at Stadium Bowl with a 2:2 draw against North Sound the South Sound Yellows have been practicing, trying to make the most of a ten day break between matches. The break is over, and this week the Tide have three contests that will decide their United States Open Cup fate as well as their early-season contention for a division playoff spot.
