Update: Stoppage time goal stuns Crew

Update: The Columbus Crew gave up a goal in stoppage time tonight, ending with a 1-1 draw with Saprissa in CONCACAF Champions League action.

Here’s a game report.

A win would have sent Columbus through to the quarterfinals, but the draw leaves them with work to do or scoreboards to watch.

But first comes, the Crew returns to league action Saturday against Seattle.

Sounders confirmed into Champions League

The CONCACAF Champions League has confirmed Seattle Sounders FC as its first qualifier for its 2010 tournament.

The Champions League berth had been widely assumed to go along with the U.S. Open Cup championship, but it wasn’t confirmed until now.
