Sounders U-23 meet Vancouver Friday at Curtis

SoundersU23.com - On Friday night at 7pm, the Sounders U-23 resume PDL play against Cascadian rivals, the Vancouver Whitecaps U-23. Tickets are available on SoundersU23.com or at the game for $10 each.

Sounders U-23 Home Opener – Sunday (PREVIEW)

SUMNER, Wash. –The Sounders U-23 will return to Sunset Stadium in Sumner this Sunday for their home opener of the 2014 Premier Development League season. They will take on the Puget Sound Gunners FC at 2:00 p.m. in search of three points.

Fresh from their offseason rebranding, the Gunners FC (formerly the North Sound SeaWolves FC) earned one point in their season opener against the Portland Timbers U-23.

Sounders U-23 Sign Two International Imports

SoundersU23.com – The Sounders U-23 have signed Mohammed “Mo” Dumbuya and Luis DeLaVega for the 2014 Premier Development League season. Dumbuya comes to the Sounders U-23 from Bethel University of the Southern States Athletic Conference, while DeLaVega brings prior PDL experience from his time with the Laredo Heat.

Lots of local soccer despite Sounders’ weekend away

Seattle Sounders FC is off to New England for their MLS match at 3 p.m. Sunday. However, there are lots of soccer events around the area, including Sounders U-23, and appearance of Michelle Akers at Starfire, and four matches in the Evergreen Premier League, including the home debut of South Sound FC. A look at some of those events:

Pierce County-based Sounders U-23 will play a preseason friendly at 8 p.m. Friday at Bellingham United. That one is the second game of a double-header that starts at 6 p.m. with Sounders Women playing Western Washington.

Jordan Morris Joins Sounders U-23

TACOMA, Wash. – The Sounders U-23 have signed one of the brightest Sounders Academy stars, Jordan Morris, for the 2014 Premier Development League season. Morris is currently a sophomore at the University of Stanford and holds caps for the United States U-20 and U-21 National Teams.

TACOMA, Wash. – The Sounders U-23 have signed midfielder, Michael Bajza from North Carolina State University, and midfield/defender, Thomas de Villardi from Duquesne University for the 2014 Premier Development League season.

Jamael Cox Returns to Sounders U-23

TACOMA, Wash. – Sounders FC U-23 plays a pivotal role in the development of its players. Currently, 14 players have gone on from the Sounders U-23s to play professionally. Sounders U-23 players span six different leagues and four countries across three different continents.
