Major League Soccer has announced a number of sanctions resulting from the Sounders’ June 7 match at Chicago.

Among them, the Sounders and coach Sigi Schmid were fined for their second violation of the mass confrontation policy in the 7th and 42nd minutes, and Obafemi Martins was fined an undisclosed amount for failing to leave the field in an orderly manner after receiving his 42nd minute red card. That fine, of course, is in addition to the red-card suspension that will keep him out of the D.C. United game when the Sounders return to league play on June 28.

Here’s the news from the league.
