Not much clarity on Saturday lineups … either way

Coach Sigi Schmid said Dallas will be a hard team to prepare for because they are eliminated from playoff contention and the coaches might use the opportunity to rest important players and to give borderline players a chance to make what could be a final impression.

However, Schmid didn’t tip much about his own lineup or roster for Dallas, either, as you will see from these answers below:

On if any of the questionable Sounders won’t travel today: “We don’t know a this stage yet. We’re going to take 20 with us on the trip and then we’ll make final decisions there.”

On a decision whether Marcus Hahnemann or Micahel Gspurning will be his starting goalkeeper: “No we’re still deciding that: Day to day.”

On Gspurning’s response to a game on the bench: “The response that we want to see. He came out today, he competed and battled; as did Marcus, which is what I expect from both of them.”
