Eddie Johnson suffers groin injury in USA training

Sounders leading goal-scorer Eddie Johnson has been taken off the U.S. men’s national team training roster after suffering a left groin strain during training on Wednesday.

Johnson is expected to undergo an MRI today.

The U.S., which already has qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, will meet Jamaica on Friday in Kansas City, Kan.
