This just in from the club:

Seattle Sounders FC announced today the full stadium seated manifest has sold out for the August 25 match versus the Portland Timbers. Due to the high demand, the team will expand the capacity to include 400 additional upper level bleacher seats and standing room only. This will be the first time the team has ever sold these two categories for a Sounders FC MLS match.

The team also has 2-Match ticket packages available which includes home matches versus Salt Lake on September 13 and the final regular season match versus the Los Angeles Galaxy on October 27.

The 2-Match ticket packages are available by phone at 1-877-MLS-GOAL or online at SoundersFC.com.

Seattle is averaging more than 40,500 fans per match in 2013. Sounders FC has led the league in attendance four-straight seasons.

With 65,000+ fans present, arch rivals Portland as the opponent, and US national team captain Clint Dempsey making his first home start in from of the Sounder faithful, Aug 25 cannot get here fast enough. The stadium is going to be rocking. If Dempsey scores, one should be able to hear the crowd roar as far south as Tacoma, and maybe even Oly.
