Here’s a preview from the club:

Seattle Reign FC return home to the Moda Health Pitch at Starfire Stadium to play the Chicago Red Stars after getting their first win of the season and four points from their two-game, east coast road trip last week. Kickoff for the match against Chicago is set for this Saturday, June 29 at 8 p.m.

Seattle’s (1-9-2, 5 points) first victory of the season did not come easy against the Boston Breakers on Wednesday. After a scoreless first half, Boston’s Mariah Nogueira headed in a corner kick just inside of the post to take the lead.

With only 15 minutes left in the game, Reign FC forward Megan Rapinoe stepped up for a free kick. She drilled a shot at Breakers’ goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher, who bobbled the shot. Midfielder Jess Fishlock sprinted into the box and put the rebound in the back of the net to tie the score at one.

Christine Nairn will go down in history for scoring Reign FC’s first game winning goal in the 86th minute. She slotted a pass from forward Liz Bogus past Naeher to give Seattle the 2 – 1 lead and their first win in franchise history.

Seattle look to build on their points-streak as they face Chicago (3-5-3, 12 points). In their first meeting and first match of the season, the teams tied 1 – 1 in Lisle, Ill. Megan Rapinoe will be making her home debut for Seattle Reign FC. She started in the two games on the road against Western New York and Boston.

Pending approval from the league, Saturday’s match could also mark the debut of forward Jessica McDonald. McDonald was acquired from the Chicago Red Stars via waivers on Friday.

The match against the Chicago Red Stars will be streamed live on YouTube and will be available on-demand within 48 hours of the match by visiting the NWSL channel at www.YouTube.com/NWSL.

This is the start of a five-game home stand for Reign FC. Next up they will face Sydney Leroux and the Boston Breakers on July 3 at 7 p.m. PT at Starfire Sports.

Prices for single match tickets are $26 for Premium Grandstand seating, $22 for Grandstand seating and $19 for Bleacher seating. Tickets can be purchased online at www.reignfc.com.
