The Sounders are off the training pitch for another day. Not surprisingly, the emphasis today was on finishing.

Forward Obafemi Martins and Eddie Johnson took part, but neither is certain for Saturday at Colorado, coach Sigi Schmid said. Similarly, David Estrada trained, but still isn’t cleared for full work, as he is restricted from heading. Djimi Traore jogged on the sideline, which Schmid indicated was mostly precautionary after receiving knee/leg knocks Saturday against New England.

The better news was at midfield, where Brad Evans said his calf injury is fine and he seemed certain he’ll be ready to return against the Rapids.

Meanwhile, central defender Patrick Ianni was scheduled for 45 minutes of work in the Reserve League game in LA this morning.

The Sounders don’t do full training again until Thursday.
