The Seattle Sounders FC announced today that the team’s April 7 match against Chivas USA has been moved to Wednesday, September 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field and will be televised locally on KONG 6/16.

The match was moved in order to accommodate Seattle’s CONCACAF Champions League Semifinal series against Mexico’s Santos Laguna. Sounders FC hosts the first leg of the series on April 2 with the second leg on April 9 in Torreon, Mexico.

Tickets to Sounders FC home matches are available through SoundersFC.com, all Ticketmaster Outlets, CenturyLink Field Box Office or by calling 800-745-3000.

With the change, that CCL series will now be played uninterrupted between MLS matches March 30 at Real Salt Lake and April 13 when New England visits.

The league made a similar adjustment for its other CONCACAF survivor: the LA Galaxy.
