The Sounders have concluded today’s training session at Starfire in Tukwila.

There was a lot of talk about the rivalry game with Portland on Saturday, and especially the Timbers’ new look under new coach Caleb Porter, formerly of Akron.

For all that, there wasn’t a great deal of actual news. However, coach Sigi Schmid did give this update on midfielders Brad Evans and Mauro Rosales.

“(Evans is) feeling better today than he felt yesterday right after the game, but probably won’t play this weekend, and then we have to see after that,” Schmid said. “(Rosales is) much better than we thought he would be. We think there’s a good chance that he should be available to us.”

I’ll be back with more soon.
