Sounders general manager Adrian Hanauer was asked today if he feels any conflicting loyalties about Major League Soccer’s attempts to trademark “Cascadia Cup,” the supporters-created competition between Seattle, Portland and Vancouver.
“I’ve tried to keep an ear to it and not get in the middle of it very much,” he said. “I understand both sides of the issue. I’m confident that … cooler heads will prevail, and they’ll work something out. But that’s about as controversial as I’m willing to get now.”
