ReignFC>Here’s some reaction from Seattle Reign FC after being assigned the following national team players in the National Women’s Soccer League allocation: Megan Rapinoe (USA0, Amy Rodriguez (USA), Hope Solo (USA), Kaylyn Kyle (CAN), Emily Zurrer (CAN), Jenny Ruiz (MEX), Teresa Noyola (MEX).

General manager Amy Carnell:
There were certainly some surprises within the allocation process but overall we’ve come out in a good position. We’ve got a strong core group of world-class players, and look forward to building from this foundation in the weeks ahead.

Head coach Laura Harvey:
I’m happy with the allocation. We’ve got a great mixture of positions and players with lots of experience. A great start to an exciting time! I look forward to working with these players and focusing on building the rest of our squad.

Additional players will be added Jan. 18 though the college draft. Individual clubs are awaiting league rules for the signing of free agents.

The league will begin play this spring, although the schedule has not yet been released.
