Eddie Johnson was back in Seattle after his national team duty, but he wasn’t in uniform after playing into the 90th minute yesterday.

However, he was at the stadium, and tweeting his praise as his teammates played to a scoreless draw without him.

“If you read my tweets throughout the game, I thought my teammates conducted themselves really well today, considering the way the game went, the red card, it’s part of soccer,” he said. “Good teams adjust. We knew it was important to try to get something out of this game. We have goals as a team. We want to finish in a certain position at the end of the season. I thought the guys were tremendous today. You couldn’t ask for a better effort.”

You know he wishes he had been out there….and there were a number of balls that Ochoa couldn’t chase down that EJ would have reached. We missed him.
