It was a good day for Sounders across the globe as…

Eddie Johnson recorded an assist in the USA’s win over Guatemala. He also went into the 90th minute, and therefore seems even more unlikely for playing time in Sounders-RSL match tomorrow.

Mario Martinez recorded two goals and an assist in Honduras’ 8-1 elimination of Canada.

Meanwhile, Adam Johansson did not play, but had an amazing view as Sweden came from four goals down for an almost unimaginable 4-4 draw with Germany.

By far my favorite moments of the match were seeing that dude with the huge Dempsey sign with the photo of his face from the last match … absolutely hilarious

No stranger to its CONCACAF rivals, the U.S. Men’s National Team is set to face Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Jamaica twice each during the final round of 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying. With an all-time record of 58-49-31 combined against the five teams, the U.S. will look to qualify for its seventh consecutive FIFA World Cup tournament by finishing in the top three of the hexagonal group which plays matches from Feb. 6-Oct. 15, 2013.
