No Sounders training today, however we have just received the very cool news from the club that popular ex-Sounder Roger Levesque will receive the Golden Scarf, fittingly enough, before the start of the Portland Timbers’ visit to CenturyLink Field at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Here’s the news from the club.

If folks recall, when Roger retired after the Chelsea match in July, the club stated he would be honored at this upcoming Timbers match.

Hope there is more in store for Roger than just the golden scarf . . . the “Decades of Dominance tifo” including Roger with the “47 seconds” from last season comes to mind. Something else along those lines would be awesome. He was a huge pest to the Timbers inthe past and the Timbers Army cannot stand him – so anything else that can be done to stir them up would be great. Maybe if we score, he can run onto the field and do the falling tree goal celebration again that he did when he scored 47 seconds into the 2010 Open Cup match v. them.
    That would be awesome!
