This just in from the league, which apparently decided it was impractical to simply take away Paulson’s phone.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber has fined Portland Timbers Owner Merritt Paulson $25,000 for inappropriate conduct directed at the officials, and through the use of social media, during and after the Timbers’ match against D.C. United on Sept 29, 2012.

Here’s more from the Oregonian.

The most amusing part about Paulson’s twitter is predicting which tweets he’ll delete and how long it will take him. The best ones are gone in minutes.

And in the time it took me to write this post, he earned enough interest to cover the fine.
