The Sounders are off the training pitch for another day. This had originally been scheduled as an off day, but coach Sigi Schmid finally decided to have to club do some lighter work after a relatively heavy day yesterday.

Some highlights:

Midfielder Mauro Rosales says his quad injury is fine, that he probably could have played last week, and that he feels fully ready to go against the Whitecaps on Saturday.

Schmid said newly acquired goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann has good days and bad days and sore days, as he is still in effect in his training-camp phase. Sounds like he won’t be a candidate for the 18-man gameday roster for another week or two.

Schmid didn’t offer a firm opinion on whether he hopes the club plays an international friendly last season, noting that he simply coaches the games on the schedule. However, he did note that the players enjoy playing the great teams of the world.
