The USA men’s national team beat the Mexican national team tonight, 1-0, at Estadio Azteca.

It was the USA’s first win ever on Mexican soil in their 25th attempt: 1-23-1.

The USA goal came in the 80th minute: Michael Orozco Fiscal tapping in a ball back-heeled to him from Terrence Boyd. The play had begun with an aggressive run into the area by Brek Shea, who had come on just two minutes earlier.

Mexico had a handful of chances to equalize, but couldn’t get it past Tim Howard and the U.S. defense.
