The Sounders’ aren’t training today, so there many not be much/any news from the club.

However, it’s still a dazzling soccer day, with three appealing games all unfortunately clustered in that 4-4:30 range:

4 p.m. on NBCSN, Los Angeles at Columbus.

4:30 p.m. on Root, Portland at Toronto.

4:30 p.m. on ESPN2, USA national team at Mexico.

While on the topic of televised soccer, it’s probably also worth noting that the Pac-12 Network goes on the air at 6 p.m. today, and this should be a good source for west coast college soccer. Here’s a good overview from today’s News Tribune. And as this story notes, the network’s first live game broadcast will be a soccer match: Santa Clara at Stanford on Friday.
