As I write this, it is 5:25 p.m. in Kansas City, and the temperature is 102.

It only seems hotter than that.

The Sounders and SKC dealt with this sizzling day by training in the morning.

However, there’s nothing they can do about kickoff of their U.S. Open Cup final, which is 8 p.m. local time (6 Pacific). As of now, the forecast for around then calls for temperatures in the low 90s and a chance of thunderstorms.

For those like me who do not have GOLTV (which is showing the Open Cup match), Doyles, near downtown Tacoma, will be showing the match. Stopped by there this evening and asked.

There may be other area locations as well. The Sounders have promoted some viewing parties around Puget Sound, but not are in the Tacoma area. I know I will be at Doyles cheering them on for the 4-peat.
    Go Sounders!
