Festivities before first kick between Chelsea and Sounders FC.

It’s gone final: Chelsea 4, Sounders 2.

I’ll be back with notes and quotes in some new posts above.

80th minute or so: Zakuani comes in for Alonso, getting nice hand. Montero out. Levesque takes captain’s armband.

66th minute: Roger Levesque comes in to nice ovation.

Attendance: 53,309.

61st minute: Ianni and Rose come in for Parke and Rosales. Levesque still on bench.

Second half scoreless so far, so it’s still Chelsea, 4-2.

Second half: … has begun. One substitution for Seattle: Ford in goal for Meredith. Several changes for Chelsea.

Halftime: Chelsea up in a wild one, 4-2.

Shots, 10-9, SEA; on goal, 7-4 CHEL; duels percentage, 65% CHEL; possession 54.7% CHEL.

44th minute: GOAL Chelsea. Sounders lose possession at midfield. Marin sends pass ahead to Lukaku, who gets his second goal of hte game. Chelsea, 4-2.

40th minute: GOAL Chelsea, Marin scoring on a not-especially-dangerous looking shot through traffic and apparently deflecting off of Jeff Parke on its way in. Chelsea, 3-2.

32nd minute: GOAL Seattle. Montero again, this time taking a long cross from Rosales, making a slight inside move and firing. 2-2.

14th minute: GOAL Sounders. Montero makes steal just outside area and fires quickly. Chelsea, 2-1.

That was MLS Sounders’ first goal against an EPL team, following 2-0 loss to Chelsea in 2009 and 7-0 to Man U last season.

11th minute: GOAL Chelsea. This time it’s Eden Hazard running past Jeff Parke and cutting inside of Zach Scott before beating Meredith. Chelsea, 2-0.

Third minute: GOAL Chelsea. Romelu Lukaku makes a muscular run down the left slide of the box, sending Jeff Parke sprawling, and finished past Meredith. Assist McEachran. Chelsea, 1-0.

Kickoff: We’re under way: Chelsea in blue/blue, Sounders in cyan/cyan.

Lineups: For Seattle: GK Meredith; D Scott, Parke, Hurtado, Gonzalez; M Rosales, Evans, Alonso, Fernandez; F Montero, Johnson. Virtually everyone else on the roster — including Roger Levesque, in his final game — is among the reserves.

For Chelsea: GK Hilario; D Ivanovic, David Luiz, Chalobah, Ferreira; M Mikel, McEachran, Benayoun, Hazard, Marin; F Lukaku
