Following up on the Roger Levesque retirement announcement below, the club has announced that it will honor Levesque when the Portland Timbers visit CenturyLink on Oct. 7.

“Roger has been an important part of our organization for the past decade,” Sounders FC owner and general manager Adrian Hanauer said in a club press release. “His attitude, professionalism, and versatility have made him incredibly valuable to our team. Most of all, his unique and tremendous personality will be sorely missed in the locker room. Roger will always be part of the Sounders family and will be appreciated for his long standing commitment to his team and his community. I am certain that he will attack his next career with the same endeavor as his pursuit of his soccer dream.”
