Sounders Women 4 – 1 Colorado Rush

Highlands Ranch, CO – The Sounders Women won a crucial match against the 3rd place team in the Western Conference 4-1 to push them clear by six points for second place. Veronica Perez scored three goals in the Colorado heat to help the Sounders Women win the match, despite playing a game the day before.

The Sounders got off to a great start by scoring the first goal of the match in the 9th minute. University of Washington junior, Annie Sittauer got down the left wing and crossed towards Veronica Perez. The Rush goalkeeper, Megan McClain, got to the ball first, but couldn’t hold on and Perez was there to tuck it home.
