Fox Soccer has announced that it will televise the fourth-round U.S. Open Cup match between Cal FC and Sounders FC, live from Starfire Sports Stadium at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
No confirmation from the Sounders yet.
However, the club issued this announcement regarding tickets:
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. PT for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup fourth-round match between Seattle Sounders FC and Cal FC (U.S. Adult Soccer Association). The game will be played Tuesday, June 5 at Starfire Sports Stadium in Tukwila. Kickoff is 7 p.m. PT.
Tickets are available at the CenturyLink Field box office, by calling 1-800-745-3000 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are general admission and priced at $16 for covered grandstand and $12 for uncovered bleachers.
Sounders FC began its run for a fourth straight Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with a third-round win over the Atlanta Silverbacks, 5-1 on Wednesday evening at Starfire Sports Stadium.
Cal FC is led by head coach and former U.S. national team standout Eric Wynalda. Wynalda led his club to a 1-0 victory over the Portland Timbers in a third-round match on Wednesday.
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the U.S. Soccer Federation’s National Championship, is an annual competition open to all amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer. It is the oldest annual team tournament in U.S. sports and among the oldest soccer tournaments of its type in the world.
