Sounders midfielder Alvaro Fernandez has recovered from his quad stran, however coach Sigi Schmid said it hasn’t yet been decided if he’ll start or come off the bench tomorrow night against Real Salt Lake

Fernandez: I feel good. I’m ready to good. That’s really a technical decision and it will be made at gametime.

Schmid: Yeah, I think Flaco’s ready. The only question for us is whether we start him or whether we bring him off the bench. Because the other concern you have as a coach now is as you put together your starting lineup, Flaco I think is ready and healthy, but probably not healthy for 90 minutes. So you have to look at, OK, if that’s one sub; this guy might be carrying this injury, that’s another sub; so you’ve got to balance it. You don’t want to carry two, three guys that you know you’ve got to sub, because then something unexpected happens and you’re left short or you’re forcing a guy to play through something that you might not want him too. That’s a decision that we have to make, but he’s ready to return for this game.
