After off days Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and then a longer-than-usual training session yesterday, the Sounders went through a short and lighter session today at Starfire.

“We had a little bit of rest, and training I thought yesterday was good,” coach Sigi Schmid said. “Training today, we wanted it to be a little more fun and competitive situation where we played big goals, small goals, you have to win on the small field to get up to the big field. The guys’ spirit and activity was good.”

There wasn’t any real breaking news out of today’s session, but I’ll be back with a little more soon.
