We had known for a couple of days that midfielder/DP/captain Mauro Rosales would miss the Sounders game tomorrow against Houston due to a knee injury. However, coach Sigi Schmid also said today that defender Adam Johansson is questionable with a hamstring issue.

“We wanted to see how he reacted today, so we wanted to keep him off the field,” Schmid said. “It’s going to be a gametime decision with him. There is the possibility he might not go, but we just wanted to really careful because it’s not anything extreme right now. We want to make sure it doesn’t become something worse.”

When asked for an overview feeling going into the game, Schmid mentioned Rosales first thing:

“Obviously, we’d rather have Mauro into the team at this stage, but it is what it is,” he said. “We’re very confident in the players that we put on the field. I know guys are going to be ready to play.”
