GM says tickets ‘going well;’ no Hawks Nest regret

We got a few minutes with Sounders general manager Adrian Hanauer today and spoke with him about a variety of issues (more posts coming), including ticket sales.

Hanauer said season-ticket sales are “going well.” And while he lacked exact figures, he said the club feels comfortable with its decision to increase capacity by opening the Hawks Nest seating section in the north end.

“I know that season tickets are going well. I don’t know numerically where we are compared to last year,” he said. “And even on the season-ticket piece, we also have the opportunity to sell more group tickets, individual-game tickets. So whether the increase in capacity ends up being replaced with pure season ticket holders or other types of tickets, we’re equally happy and enthusiastic about that.”
