The Sounders had their big farewell to Kasey Keller during the regular season so that the club could concentrate on the matters at hand during the playoffs.

However, Keller admits that he is mentally counting down his moment, and that Wednesday could be the final day of his playing career.

“There’s no question that just training today I thought this could be my second-to-last training session,” he said. “Of course that’s there. That’s part of it. And I’m going to do everything I can on Wednesday to make sure that it wasn’t.”

And if it is?

“Not a problem. That’s the way it works out, then that’s the way it works out. I just want to go out and win the game on Wednesday, and hopefully we win by a big enough margin. But that’s all part of team play: You don’t have that choice. You go out and play the best you can for the team, and hope it’s enough.”
