New York goes to Frisco, Texas, and beats FC Dallas, 2-0. The Red Bulls will go on to meet the LA Galaxy in an aggregate-score, away-and-home series. So yes, the Western side of the MLS bracket is now made up of LA, Seattle, Salt Lake and NY.

Gee, I thought it was the all-powerful West that was supposed to creep up the East bracket…

I like this result, though, because I think the Red Bulls have a better chance than did Dallas to defeat the Galaxy and give the Sounders home field for the Conference finals- against the Red Bulls.

I felt the same way about rooting for NYRB but of course we have to do our part, and probably without Rosales for the whole series.

One of the things I like about thye Red Bulls is their recent propensity for red cards- hopefully they’ll beat the Galaxy, but Henry will be unavailable for the finals… :)

    Love the result!
LAG is forced to fly cross country twice and play 2 physical games with plentiful red card opportunities, and if NYRB win, we get home field … Go NYRB!
