Sounders FC is off the field from an extra-early morning training session at Starfire, and now the team is off to Dallas for its MLS match Saturday and then continues on to Mexico for its Champions League match Tuesday.

We asked coach Sigi Schmid how he was handling the travel logistics for the two games.

“It’s a hodgepodge of things,” he said. “We’re going to travel down to Dallas with a group. After Dallas there might be some guys who come back, some guys who come from here and join us as we go into Monterrey. Obviously (Jhon Kennedy Hurtado) is coming back from injury, so is (Brad) Evans, how many minutes do we want to pile on them this early. We don’t want to have an occurrence of the injury. Patrick Ianni (hamstring) definitely won’t be ready for Saturday, but could be ready for Tuesday. Those are all questions that we need to have answered.”
