Sounders FC is marking coach Sigi Schmid’s 150th MLS career victory with the release of a commemorative bobblehead doll of the coach.

He was asked today what he thinks of the likeness.

“I didn’t know my hair was that gray,” he said. “It’s strange. I never thought I’d be a bobblehead. I had a bobblehead Kobe (Bryant) on my desk, and I’ve had bobblehead Kasey (Keller) on my desk for a while. I look upon it as an honor, so it’s a good thing that way. … They can’t fire me until they’re all sold.”

  1. These have been for sale on the website for at least a few months–maybe they haven’t been selling well so they’re now pushing them as commemorative and in honor of Schmid’s 150 wins.

  2. ZombieLatics says:

Umm, a little nice with the bobblehead body, eh? How in the world is his head bigger than his body?

  3. EverydayFan says:

    I love Sigi’s humility … Great coach … I he’s here forever…

  4. Yeah, they definitely were kind around the belly region. :)
