Regular readers know that I’m something of a logo freak, so I wanted to make belated mention of the unveiling of the new crest for the Montreal Impact, which will join the league next season. Bottom line for me: love the crest, hate the name, and good grief MLS does not need another team wearing blue.

Meanwhile, in what I guess passes for more meaningful news, the Vancouver Whitecaps announced today that Martin Rennie will take over as the club’s third head coach at the end of this season. Yes, the first-year team is now looking ahead to its third coach. (We pause now for a moment of appreciation for how professionally Sounders FC has been run.)

  1. EverydayFan says:

Was the impact their name in NASL? Did they play in NASL? I can’t remember.
I like it better than FC Montreal, and non-names like that, so I’m ok with it.
    Also like “Tous pour gagner.”
    Cool
