Scheduled to appear at the two-hour observation and chalk talk session are Port Vale FC coaches, including head coach Micky Adams. Adams has managed such historic English clubs as Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United, after a playing career that spanned nearly two decades. The Port Vale coaches combine for decades and decades of professional experience.
Joining in from Tacoma Tide FC will be head coach Gerry Gray. Gray has a distinguished career in profession soccer in North America, both outdoors and indoors. Gray is a member of the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame.
The coaching session will include a simulated practice session and a chalk talk about the Tide / Port Vale match which follows the next day at Curtis High School.
Tacoma Tide FC will host South Sound Soccer Sunday on July 17 at Curtis High School. The soccer double header begins at 1:00 PM when the Seattle Sounders Women of the W-League play the Colorado Force. Tacoma Tide FC have moved all remaining home matches to Curtis High School’s Viking Stadium in University Place. This has been the traditional home of the club since being founded in 2006. The Tide host Vancouver on July 8 at 7:30 PM, Abbotsford on July 10 at 2:00 PM and finish their PDL season July 22 at 7:00 PM with a contest against Washington Crossfire.
