Tacoma Tide FC go high tech with 2011 Stadium Bowl ticket options

Tacoma Tide FC today announce a partnership with that will allow Tacoma soccer fans several high tech options to purchase and use 2011 tickets to Premier Development League matches at Stadium Bowl in Tacoma’s historic Stadium District. The Tide home opener arrives on Friday, May 13th against Everett’s North Sound SeaWolves.

Soccer fans in the City of Destiny can now purchase Tacoma Tide FC full season tickets, four-ticket Flex Passes, and individual match tickets online at the club’s Brown Paper Tickets home page. ( From there Tide fans can decide how they would like their tickets delivered to them: via mail, by printing from their own personal computers, or even by downloading tickets to a mobile device and showing the device at the Stadium Bowl gates.

“Tacoma is a very wired city, very tech-savvy,” Tide General Manager John Callaway said on the day of the ticket announcement. “We want to build a fanbase by providing top quality, high-scoring, exciting soccer, and also by making it convenient for our fans to plan ahead for our matches.”

Tacoma Tide FC 2011 season tickets are now for sale online for only $50 (adult) or $35 (student) for eight Premier DL matches against clubs such as the Kitsap Pumas, Portland Timbers U23s and Everett’s new side, the North Sound SeaWolves. Fans who order their 2011 Tide season pass by April 1 will get entry to the July 17 international friendly between Tacoma and English side Port Vale FC for free. Port Vale individual match tickets will go on sale at a later date.

Tacoma Tide FC 2011 ticket prices for individual PDL matches at Stadium Bowl are as follows: $10 (adult), $8 (student), $5 (youth) and free for ages five and under.

The club also offers a Flex Pass where fans can buy four tickets and use them at any PDL match or matches. Adult Flex Passes are $35. Student Flex Passes are $27.

Earlier this year Tacoma Tide FC announced their move to Stadium Bowl for the 2011 United Soccer Leagues season. In their sixth season of operation the Tide will be playing within the city limits of Tacoma for the first time. “We have already heard from fans about how excited they are to be able to see a Tacoma semi-pro soccer side play in the Stadium District,” Callaway revealed. “There are numerous restaurants, pubs, coffee shops in the area around the historic stadium. Now we have made it even easier for fans to plan a night out with our various online ticket options and packages.”
